Just a couple of notes,
1) the foam may leave some adhesive residue on the pieces but that can be cleaned off with dish soap and a soft cloth.
2) the cutting of the pieces has shaped the hole in such a way that some center pieces may have a tight fit. If pushing them from one direction doesn’t seem to work, try the other. Center pieces should be reinserted from the direction they were removed if the fit is tight on them. Avoid forcing them in or out.
